![]() Oregon HempWorks LLC. offers fulfillment on large custom orders of feminized hemp seedlings direct to soil plugs. We use innovative planting and packaging methods that allow for maximum root growth, minimum disruption, and ultimate nutrient uptake before transplanting outdoors. These seedlings do not dry out as quickly as a traditional "plug" type transplant, which is particularly important in the drier climates of the Pacific Northwest and High Deserts that we service and produce in and beneficial in any area.
The durable, compact soil plugs allow for greater production with mechanized transplanting using row planting equipment, reducing hand labor costs and loss of product during the transplanting. In our experience, the additional moisture retention gets the seedling start through the transportation phase and the first 24-48 hours of the critical reconditioning phase after transplant. We can provide seedling orders made at least 3 months in advance of planting date for hundreds of thousands of plants. Let us know what your planting needs are and we can start working with you on strain selection, and planting schedules. We can offer any of the four (4) strains listed in detail in our feminized seed section here. |

The outcome of many industrial hemp operations depends on the close coordination and communication before the supply of the plants and the planting of the first seed. We stand behind our standards of supply and delivery, so if you're not completely satisfied we're committed to make it right and come through on the delivery of quality high CBD genetics.

In some breeding circles there is often debate between seed vs. clones and the benefits and drawbacks to each of these methods of regeneration. If you are looking for a clear winner, the simple answer is "it depends". What are you objectives and what are you aiming to achieve?
There are clear advantages of time, savings, and reliability when cloning any mother plant and it has its place in any breeding program (not to be confused with outdoor biomass production farming). There is a considerable amount of effort involved in bringing seedlings that are ready to plant outdoors to market, delivered to a customer by the time they want to plant. Seedlings started and ready to transplant are not the cost savings you are looking for.
The real benefit to seedling starts is quality performance and hardiness of seedlings that are well rooted and ready for outdoor production. Taproots are the anchor to your plant and they only come from seedlings, NOT clones. Do not be mistaken in this when planting for load bearing outdoor production plants that need to battle the wind and elements. Taproots provide stability, better nutrient uptake and faster generation, plus better disease and pest resistance in general. We have experienced a much faster development through the life cycle and a faster production of flower with higher yields, shortening the time to harvest and to market when compared to a cloned plant of the same starting size and planted outdoors.
